A popular dining establishment in the UK is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality prep and dish specifications in a fresh cooking environment. Qualifications

  • Current Junior Sous Chef or experienced Chef ready for the next step.
  • Demonstrated experience in food preparation and kitchen skills.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head and Sous Chef in delivering quality shifts.
  • Ensure daily prep is completed and dishes meet specifications.

Job description

You'll be supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver 14 great shifts, ensuring the prep is done for each day and making each dish to specification.

What you'll bring:

  • You are probably an existing Junior Sous Chef or an experienced Chef looking to take the next step in your career.
  • You will ideally have experience working with fresh ingredients and be able to demonstrate good chef/kitchen skills (food prep hot and cold, cleaning, knife skills, good hygiene practices)
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
  • Self-motivated to work at pace, with limited supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices regarding allergens, kitchen essentials, and food safety.
