A research team at a prominent university in Cambridge is seeking a part-time Junior Software Engineer to support the development of mobile applications related to health research. The successful candidate should have vocational qualifications and experience in mobile app development, particularly for Android and/or iOS. We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join a research team to support the development and maintenance of mobile phone applications for research purposes. The role holder will take responsibility for providing support and development of the software to support the research of the team of the Principal Investigator.
The ideal candidate, will be educated to HND/HNC, Level 4/5 vocational qualifications or equivalent level of practical experience. You will also have experience in mobile app software development, and experience in deployment of software within research projects. The preferred candidate will also have experience with mobile app development in Android and/or iOS in the context of sensing and mobile health applications.
You would be given the opportunity to work with colleagues to deliver projects. We also provide a comprehensive training programme, including dedicated development time, to meet the requirements of the post and offer opportunities for future career development.
This is a part-time, 2 days a week role (40%FTE). The post is available for 12 months in the first instance.
