Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join a growing team developing in-house trading and research systems. The role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to high-performance software.

You will primarily work in a C# / .NET / SQL Server / ASP.NET environment, supported by experienced engineers and exposed to modern development practices. This is a hands-on, beginner-friendly opportunity.

Qualifications

• BSc (or higher) in Computer Science or related field.
• Knowledge of C# and/or .NET (academic or commercial).
• Understanding of basic programming principles and OOP.
• Familiarity with relational databases (SQL Server or similar).
• Internship or placement experience in software development.
• Exposure to Git or other version control systems.
• Basic understanding of web technologies (ASP.NET or similar).
• Interest in financial markets or trading systems.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop.
• Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and maintenance of applications in C# and .NET.
• Support building scalable trading and research systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
• Participate in debugging, testing and performance improvements.
• Contribute to code reviews and best engineering practices.
• Collaborate with team to deliver high-quality software.
