What is in it for you?

This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills under the supervision of experienced professionals, supporting a technology deployed in multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exploring and assessing potential enhancements to our audio recognition technology.
  • Diagnosing real-world limitations, and devising potential work-arounds.
  • Exploring new solutions to upcoming product goals.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop, test and deliver solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Collaborate with the team in regular design reviews, sharing your insights and learning from experienced scientists to develop and maintain innovative solutions.
  • Researching and learning new technologies and techniques to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions to elicit innovative ideas and solutions.
About You
  • Proficiency in at least one relevant programming language (ideally C/C++, Matlab or Python)
  • A good technical degree (or higher) in Physics, Maths, Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Familiarity with common signal processing techniques.
  • Experience of real-world audio processing issues
  • Experience of writing deployable and maintainable software.
  • Knowledge of issue/project tracking software, e.g. Jira.
  • A strong interest in algorithms and a desire to continually improve those algorithms.
  • The curiosity and determination to understand technical systems from first principles.
  • Exemplary communications skills - an ability to produce clear, informative documentation.
  • An enthusiastic attitude with a ‘gets things done’ mentality.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including diagnosing issues within complex systems.
  • The willingness to rapidly pick up new technologies.
  • The ability to adapt schedules against changing priorities.
