Job description

We are excited to welcome a new Junior Software Engineer to join our digital eCommerce development team.

You will be a key player in enhancing our eCommerce site by assisting the digital content and marketing teams with building assets and components in JavaScript, ReactJS, CSS, and HTML. Your role will ensure that the content management system can be utilized without developer support. You will work closely with our core codebase and help build a new storefront developed with React and Salesforce Commerce Cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver quality code and collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and QA Engineers within an agile framework.
• Contribute to peer reviews of code and proactively carry tickets through the development to production lifecycle.
• Architect responsive, interactive, mobile-first web standards to improve user experience.
• Maintain and contribute to documentation and testing notes for both technical and non-technical team members.
• Host technical walkthroughs for team members.
• Write scalable and reusable code using MVC and other design patterns.
• Understand and optimize website performance, SEO metrics, and their impact on revenue.
• Stay updated with the latest web development trends and practices, critique existing code, and suggest improvements.
• Leverage features of our eCommerce platform.

Required Experience:

• Experience with database services such as Azure SQL Database, SQL Server, and Databricks.
• Knowledge of database design and data modeling.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools.
• Experience with Content Management Systems and Email Service Providers.
• Experience with styling libraries like Tailwind.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
• Knowledge of Atlassian tools including JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence.
