Job summary

SiXworks is seeking a Junior SOC Analyst to monitor secure digital solutions in highly secure environments. You will work with engineers, architects and delivery specialists to enable faster, safer decision-making for critical operations.

Your responsibilities include responding to incidents using playbooks, escalating complex cases to Tier 2, reviewing security controls, and producing recurring reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification(s) in Cyber Security
• Professional Qualifications from organisations such as CompTIA, ISACA etc.
• Technical qualifications in security and technology such as (but not limited to) cloud computing, SIEM, Vulnerability Scanning/Management

Responsibilities

• Monitor secure systems for security alerts, intrusions or unauthorised activity
• Respond to incidents using a catalogue of playbooks
• Escalate complex incidents to Tier 2 Incident Response Teams
• Review and develop security controls in a growing technical environment
• Triage and review vulnerability scanning reports and feed results back to technical teams
• Review secure configurations and feedback for remediations
• Generate recurring service and security reports for key stakeholders
• Provide feedback on service improvements to the SOC Manager
• Keep up-to-date with latest security threats and trends
• Research and develop understanding of security discipline
• Shifts across 24/7 SOC service delivery
