Job summary

A leading construction company is seeking a Junior Site Manager to oversee commercial and residential projects in the Antrim area. The role requires a Degree in Construction Management and a minimum of 1 year experience with a contractor. Job Title – Junior Site Manager

Project – Commercial & Residential Projects

Job Location – Antrim Area

Salary – £24K - £28K + travel

About the Company

My client is a reputable and respected Sepcialsit subcontractor based in North Ulster working or sites for Top Main Contractor.

While they are in a period of growth, they still operate with a nice family ethos. They tend to take people on and bring them up through the business hence why they have such a low turnover of staff.

They are extremely busy, and have secured multiple new contracts across Antrim / Derry Londonderry. All sites are within 30-40 minutes of each other.

This will be a Full time / Permanent role for an ambitions Construction Management Graduate with 1+ years’ experience.

The Role

  • Coordination and supervision of the construction works.
  • Support the Site Manager and Project Manager
  • In absences of Site Manager, be the number one on site for all activities and act as a point of contact for direct staff, subcontractors, clients and design team.
  • Report into and support the Company Director and Contracts Managers.
  • Oversee projects and supervise manpower on site including, direct staff and subcontractors.
  • Consult with local authorities and clients when required.
  • Managing sub-contractors and personnel on site to ensure that productivity levels are high.
  • Supervise works on site and ensure the quality of works and that they are done on time and in budget.
  • Plan and coordinate the daily requirements of the site including labour, procurement of materials, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ensure that company policies including H&S policies are adhered to on site.
  • Perform company compliance and administration procedure and record performance and progress of site operations.

Requirements

  • A Degree in Construction Management & Engineering or similar.
  • A minimum of 1 years proven experience with a Main Contractor or Subcontractor in NI.
  • Ideally will come from an engineering background or have some setting out experience.
  • Ability to effectively manage site programme and associated schedules to required deadlines.
