A leading Main Contractor seeks a Junior Site Manager to assist in residential projects in Derry/Londonderry. This role is ideal for candidates with engineering or construction management degrees and some relevant placement experience. The successful candidate will support on-site project activities and drive timely project delivery over a 2-year runtime.

Job Title – Junior Site Manager

Project – Residential

Job Location – Derry/ Londonderry

Salary – £25K - £30K plus package

About the Company

Working alongside a leading Main Contractor with a reputation for delivering high standard residential developments throughout the private and public sectors.

They are keen to work with a Candidate that is eager to learn and progress in their career.

This role would suit an engineer with 1-2 years of on-site experience who wants to move in to a Site Manager role or a Construction Management Graduate with a placement completed in a similar role.

The project is in Derry/ Londonderry City and has a run time of 2 years.

The Role

• checking works as required for the project and ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.
• Liaise with sub-contractors and personnel on site in in the planning and construction of the project.
• Support the Project Manager/ Contracts Manager to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
• Maintain excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
• Drive onsite delivery to ensure the project is completed on time and to programme.

Requirements

• Must have A Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum placement experience in an engineering role or Junior Site Manager role.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint.
