Ward 78 is a 32 bedded ward, specialising in Neurosurgery, Neurology, Trauma and Orthopedics, Complex Spines and Ear Nose and Throat. We offer acute and long term care for patients. We are one of four centers that offers Epilepsy Surgery (NORCESS) and work closely with Alder Hey to offer this complex surgery.
To take charge of the ward and support staff in their roles.To liase with bed managers and operational managers regarding available beds on the ward as well as transfers in.To support the ward manager in ensuring staff appraisals are up to date and being familiar with management systems such as absence manager.Dealing with complaints from families as well as being able to troubleshoot daily situations on the ward.
