An exciting opportunity has become available for a band 6 nurse to join our evolving Emergency Department Team.
The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is one of the largest acute and community Trusts in the West Midlands.
We have been rated as GOOD during our recent CQC inspection.
This band 6 role provides a real opportunity to develop leadership skills, clinical skills, and knowledge within the Emergency Services Directorate. We are looking for nurses who are pursuing a new challenge, holding experience in either an Emergency Department or significant acute medical experience.
The Emergency Department is exceptionally busy, with approximately 153,000 annual attendees. An understanding of maintaining patient flows through the hospital is pivotal. The department features innovative working environments, including a purpose-built rapid assessment area and collaborative partnerships between acute physicians and emergency consultants. The Urgent and Emergency Care Centre offers a single entry point for all acute admissions, an expanded clinical decisions unit, and an Ambulatory Emergency Care facility. Additionally, there is a specialist Children’s area built to high standards, with its own 2-bed high care unit.
We seek caring, compassionate nurses with a minimum of 18 months acute care experience, committed to improving patient pathways, possessing good clinical skills, and capable of acting as professional role models supported by the National Curriculum and Competency Framework for Emergency Nursing.
