Job Opportunity: Paediatric Nurse - High Dependency Unit

This post attracts a recruitment incentive of £2000 pro rata (conditions apply)

Are you an experienced Band 5 or Band 6 Nurse looking to develop your career and your high dependency nursing skills?

We are a busy Children's Ward, recently approved as a level 2 HDU unit, seeking an experienced paediatric nurse passionate about caring for children with a wide range of conditions, including high dependency care needs.

Our unit features a new dedicated 2-bed HDU bay, providing care for patients requiring interventions such as CPAP and Long Term Ventilation. We also care for multiple specialties including medical, surgical, ENT, and orthopaedic.

The successful candidate will have opportunities to develop clinical, leadership, and management skills while working with our excellent team at Ipswich Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide effective, high-quality, individualized nursing care within the framework of Clinical Governance.
  2. Ensure high standards of professional practice and care delivery, including high dependency care, following Trust, Directorate, and professional guidelines.
  3. Adhere to the Trust’s Competency Framework for Registered Nurses, Ward/Department Philosophy, and NMC Code of Conduct/Professional Standards.
  4. Create a safe and welcoming environment for children, young people, and their families, utilizing available resources.
