A leading healthcare organization seeks a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse for the Acute Medical Unit. This role emphasizes high-quality patient care and staff education, requiring strong clinical skills in acute general medicine, effective communication, and leadership abilities.
The Acute Medical Unit is a 24 bedded mixed specialty ward which admits patients from the Emergency Department (ED). All medical specialities are admitted through the unit unless speciality bed is required and available from ED; on occasion we admit some surgical and orthopaedic patients depending on demand.
As a Band 6 junior sister/ charge nurse Clinical Educator you will be responsible for promoting and implementing practice conducive to the development of high quality patient care, by providing education and support to junior staff members and HCA's.
A strong clinical background in acute general medicine is essential to this role to support the nursing team and ensure our patients receive the right standard of care.
AMU are looking for an experienced B5 , the successful candidate will be expected to take on the daily oversight and ward management in the absence of the Ward Sister.
