We have an exciting position on St Mary Abbots Ward and are looking for an excellent role model with relevant clinical acute surgical experience in colorectal cancer care, upper and lower GI surgery, stoma nursing and plastic surgery.
We are a diverse and dynamic team, where you will have the opportunity to manage and act as a preceptor for a group of staff where you can share your clinical expertise and develop your team.
You will have an opportunity to share your clinical expertise through training, practice development and education. There will be opportunities to lead on specific managerial tasks and projects as delegated as well as representing the Sister / Charge Nurse at directorate and Trust meetings. Ensuring the effective running of the clinical area in the absence of the sister / charge nurse. Lead a specific team of nurses and provide clinical and managerial leadership to the multi- professional team in that area. Role modelling expert clinical care, sharing this clinical expertise through practice development, education, mentorship and preceptorship. Leading on specific management tasks and projects as delegated by the sister / charge nurse. Representing the sister / charge nurse at directorate and trust meetings.
