Job Description:

Are you looking to start your career with one of the UK's leading wealth management firms? Here at Charles Stanley, we are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our Operations team as a Junior Settlements Administrator. You will learn how to reconcile and settle trades from the previous days’ trading, supported by a comprehensive training program covering all aspects of settlements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Settle international trades within specified market deadlines.
  2. Receive, validate, and process market trades in various markets.
  3. Liaise with counterparties and brokers to ensure timely completion of trades.
  4. Understand procedures and controls, and communicate any discrepancies or changes.
  5. Manage workflow efficiently to meet deadlines.
  6. Escalate unresolved issues to senior team members or managers.
  7. Negotiate FX netting with providers.
  8. Reconcile Market/Internal accounts.
  9. Process physical stock deposits into foreign custody.
  10. Monitor trade processing via the Order Router.
  11. Resolve queries from Investment Managers via phone, email, or WebEx.
  12. Maintain electronic and hard copy records.
  13. Provide departmental cover when needed.
  14. Perform any additional tasks as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Good computer skills, with basic knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive, capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly flexible, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
