Overview

Information Security Junior Security Analyst – Location: Hybrid (with weekly office presence, increased office time during initial training). Department: Information Security. Reports to: Information Security Manager.

The Opportunity

An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the European Information Security team for a Junior Security Analyst.

This is an entry-level role ideal for someone looking to begin or grow their career in cybersecurity. You will work closely with our Information Security and IT teams to help protect the business, monitor potential threats, and support compliance across our network of veterinary practices.

This position provides hands-on experience with enterprise-class security tools, exposure to real-world incident management, and an opportunity to make a tangible impact within a vital and growing healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyse security alerts from hospital and corporate IT systems.
  • Assist in investigating potential security incidents and escalate as required.
  • Support compliance with data protection requirements, including GDPR, PCI-DSS, and privacy regulations.
  • Participate in vulnerability management - including scanning, analysis, and remediation tracking.
  • Maintain and update security documentation (incident reports, access control, IT policy updates).
  • Contribute to cybersecurity awareness training across the organisation.
  • Stay informed on emerging threats, particularly those affecting healthcare and veterinary sectors.
About You

Essential:

  • Exposure to or experience within an Information Security environment.
  • Knowledge of technologies such as Office 365, firewall management, and threat monitoring.
  • Strong communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonal.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Organised and able to prioritise effectively.
  • A professional, approachable manner and strong teamwork ethic.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within the medical or healthcare industry.
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks (ISO, NIST).
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and remediation activities.
  • Experience working with audit, legal, or compliance stakeholders.
  • Relevant education or certification such as CC - Certified in Cybersecurity (ISC2).
  • Driving licence.
