Job summary

Isbi is seeking three Learning Support Teaching Assistants to work on a one-to-one basis with a designated pupil with an EHCP, and to support others or general class activities as directed.

The role is part-time within term-time, with hours 8.15am–4.00pm on weekdays and occasional Saturday events and residentials. A DBS disclosure at Enhanced level is required. Closing date is 16 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs is desirable.
• Ability to work in a school environment and follow safeguarding policies.
• Good communication with pupils, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to designated pupil with EHCP.
• Assist with group activities and assist teachers in class.
• Support pupils’ wellbeing and manage behaviour under supervision.

We require 3 Learning Support Teaching Assistants across the College, to work on a one-to-one basis with a designated pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), with other pupils where required or as general class support as directed.

Hours of Work

• 8.15am - 4.00pm, Monday - Friday
• Saturday events (typically four each year), plus any compulsory residentials

This role is a term-time appointment, including INSET days.
