Job summary

Freshfields is seeking a Junior Risk Adviser to join the Practice Protection team within the Legal Department. You will contribute to enterprise risk management, governance, regulatory compliance and insurance, helping to identify, assess and manage risks across the firm globally.

You will work with Legal, Finance, HR and Information Security teams to deliver risk initiatives, support reporting and build a culture of risk awareness.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk, compliance, governance, regulatory or professional services environments.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver work to a high standard.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Enterprise Risk Management and the operation of the ERM framework.
• Assist with risk assessments, reviews and risk-related projects.
• Monitor risk mitigation actions and key risk indicators.
• Prepare materials for management, committees and governance forums.
• Support regulatory compliance and monitoring activities.
• Contribute to risk communications, training and awareness initiatives.
• Maintain risk, claims and insurance records and reporting.
• Produce dashboards and risk metrics for reporting to stakeholders.
