GTS Group Ltd on the Herefordshire/Gloucestershire border is seeking an early-career engineer to join a defence technology team. You will work with a Principal Engineer to research new RF threats and help develop counter-threat algorithms, starting in MATLAB/Octave and transitioning to real hardware.

You’ll write software and firmware in C, C++ or VHDL for lab prototypes, participate in testing and validation, generate technical reports (some for MOD), and travel internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• A degree, apprenticeship or equivalent experience in electronic engineering, computer science, systems engineering or similar.
• A methodical approach to solving problems.
• The ability to explain technical findings clearly.
• An interest in RF, radio or embedded systems.
• Eligibility for security clearance.

Responsabilités

• You’ll work alongside a Principal Engineer, researching new and emerging RF threats.
• You’ll help develop algorithms to counter those threats, starting in MATLAB/Octave and then moving onto real hardware.
• You’ll write software and firmware in C, C++ or VHDL for lab prototypes.
• You’ll get involved in testing, validation and vulnerability analysis.
• You’ll write technical reports, some of which go to the MOD.
• You’ll travel internationally.
