About The Project/Role

This is a key role within the content measurement team working on the Barb service within Kantar. This role sits within the Audience Intelligence team, working on the Barb long-term contract to measure TV and video viewership in the UK.

The Barb service at Kantar is complex, involving various departments and disciplines. The role requires an enquiring mind capable of understanding complex processes and liaising with multiple teams. The analyst will also work directly with clients and needs to build strong, productive relationships.

This role focuses on SVOD (subscription video on demand) content. Kantar has been commissioned by Barb to measure audiences at a content level for SVOD services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, AppleTV+, Paramount+, and YouTube.

This involves identifying, curating, and updating a library of SVOD titles for measurement, ensuring new titles are measured as soon as uploaded. The analyst will define and edit this catalogue, requiring knowledge of and interest in TV content, especially SVOD trends.

Responsibilities include database management of the SVOD content library, quality control, testing assets, and analyzing viewing data for reports and client queries. Over time, process improvements will also be part of the role. Training will be provided.

  • Tracking, selecting, and prioritizing upcoming SVOD content for measurement, collaborating with the client on priorities
  • Managing content uploads into the database

  • Analyzing viewing figures for regular reporting and ad hoc requests
  • Investigating data issues and responding to client queries
  • Suggesting and implementing process improvements

  • Comfort with handling and interpreting data
  • Proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivot tables, formulas)
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, and audience measurement software (TechEdge) is a plus

  • Good communication skills and team collaboration
