Job summary

RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. is seeking a Reliability Engineer to turn engineering data into insights that improve the reliability of offshore wind turbines across Europe and APAC.

You will support reliability activities from development through operations, analysing data and contributing to improvements. The role requires a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and 1–3 years of relevant experience, with strong skills in Weibull analysis, FMEA, and data handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 1–3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Knowledge of Weibull analysis, FMEA/FMECA and root cause analysis.
• Understanding of drivetrain, generation, pitch and yaw systems, power conversion and SCADA.
• Proficient data handling with Excel, Python or MATLAB.
• Knowledge of ISO 14224 and IEC 61400.
• Business-fluent English and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support reliability engineering across project development, construction and operations for offshore wind assets.
• Perform reliability analyses of wind turbine components and subsystems.
• Monitor turbine reliability and availability indicators and analyse data.
• Collect and analyse data from SCADA, CMMS and engineering databases.
• Contribute to investigations into component failures and downtime; perform root cause analyses.
• Maintain and improve failure mode databases and prediction models.
• Develop and implement reliability improvement initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate technical issues and risks.
