Job description

Purpose of the role:

  • To be part of the Innovation and Product Development Regulatory Team within Rentokil Initial's Marketing and Innovation (M&I) Function to support the team's technical and commercial competence providing compliance for chemical products and services as required by regulations affecting M&I and Rentokil Initial's business activities
  • Primary purpose is to support chemical regulatory compliance within RI businesses and to implement appropriate corrective actions within required timeframes where non-compliance has been identified
  • To contribute towards ensuring that all chemical products are compliant with all relevant areas of legislation including product safety information, performing product classifications and draft label and packaging as required
  • To support obtaining and maintaining product registrations as required
  • Support the introduction of new products to markets
  • Ensure accurate information is maintained in the company regulatory systems and databases

Responsibilities:

  • Working within the regulatory team to ensure that Rentokil Initial is not exposed to commercial or technical risks arising from regulatory non-compliance, or changes to national or international directives / regulations
  • To assist with implementing urgent corrective action within Rentokil Initial businesses to mitigate any significant regulatory risk exposures that may arise
  • Provide technical support to businesses drafting material safety data sheets, labels and using chemical support software

Requirements

Skills, Experience and Competencies:

  • A minimum of a good honours degree in a scientific or similar discipline
  • Prefer some knowledge of the global regulatory frameworks for chemical products that affect chemical products, specifically with regard to registration, safe use, transportation and disposal
  • Demonstrate a high level of computer literacy along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Meticulous and detailed in their quality of work
  • Strong data analysis skills with a process driven, problem solving mind-set
  • Country Mother Tongue / English essential. Further European languages an advantage
