Job description

JuniorQuantity Surveyor(QS)ideally you will have Solar Farm experienec but not essential, to work in my clients Southend Office with onsite visits too.

Job Purpose

  • You will help manage costs, prepare estimates, and ensure projects stay within budget.
  • This role involves a mix of office-based tasks like cost analysis and report writing, as well as potential site visits for data collection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Management:Assisting in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and conducting cost analysis.
  • Tender and Contract Support:Helping with the preparation of tender documents, contracts, and bills of quantities.
  • Project Monitoring:Monitoring project costs, ensuring they remain within budget, and preparing reports.
  • Financial Reporting:Supporting the preparation of monthly cost/value reports and valuations.
  • Risk Management:Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks.

Essential Skills And Qualifications

  • Industry Knowledge:Understanding of (ideally Solar Farms) however, construction processes, regulations, and different building contracts.
  • Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant QS software.
  • Analytical Skills:Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
  • Educational Background:A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field required.
  • Full driving licence and CSCS Card.

This contract will last 3-6months + with the possibility of going permanent.
