Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assister les Directeurs et les Responsables de Contrats.
  • Allouer le travail aux sous-traitants et préparer les certificats de paiement.
  • Préparer et revoir les documents d'appel d'offres et de contrat.
  • Surveiller la progression des projets et maintenir des enregistrements de chantier précis.
  • Communiquer avec les équipes de site pour assurer la précision et la rapidité des documents.

Assistant / Trainee Quantity Surveyor

Location: Chelmsford

Salary: £35,000 £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

With over 40 years of experience and an expanding pipeline of projects across social housing, education, and retrofit sectors, were looking to welcome a dedicated and motivated Assistant / Trainee Quantity Surveyor into our growing commercial team.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Assisting Directors and Contracts Managers.
  • Allocating work to subcontractors and preparing payment certificates
  • Supporting procurement and working with our buying team to source materials
  • Preparing and reviewing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and schedule of rates
  • Monitoring project progress and helping maintain accurate site records
  • Supporting compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Communicating with site teams to ensure accurate and timely paperwork
  • Liaising with the finance team to support payment collection and dispute resolution
  • Maintaining positive client relationships to help secure future opportunities

Experience & Background

  • 1+ years experience in construction or commercial administration.
  • Experience in social housing and schedule of rates is preferred but not essential
  • Familiarity with valuations, procurement, or contract documentation is beneficial
  • Training will be provided for the right candidate
