Description

The successful candidate will join a team which develops betting solutions. These betting solutions entail the development of mathematical/statistical models and high-performance algorithms; efficient coding; automation of betting operations; data generation, acquisition, storage and manipulation; and performance analysis through back-testing and simulations.

Industry based experience of, and genuine proficiency in, Python or R or a similar programming language is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Acquire data from multiple data sources, filtering, cleaning and wrapping.
  2. Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques, and provide reports.
  3. Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  4. Work within the team to prioritise business and information needs.
  5. Identify process improvement opportunities.
  6. Design, build, test and deliver data processing and automation software.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

  1. Statistical modelling and skills in data analytics.
  2. Strong attention to detail and ability to retain information.
  3. Adept using analytical programming languages such as R, Python, C++, etc.
  4. BSc in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering or other quantitative discipline.
  5. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  6. Positive ‘can do’ attitude, and ability to meet deadlines.
  7. Willingness to learn and adapt to new environments.
  8. Experience in the financial, betting, or gaming industries is a plus.
