Akuna Capital in London is seeking a Junior Trader to join our team of mathematicians, statisticians and technologists. You will apply quantitative skills to trading models and signals, developing ideas into practical solutions.

A background in finance is not required; strong maths and coding abilities are what we look for. As a junior, you will be paired with a mentor and receive extensive training on market making, our systems and financial theories such as Options Greeks and Black Scholes.

Qualifications

• UK citizen or Permanent residence required.
• Bachelor/Masters/PhD in STEM fields expected.
• Strong maths and coding abilities essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage trading strategies and improve profitability by converting ideas into quantitative models.
• Implement trading signals that contribute to portfolio construction.
• Develop understanding of derivatives theory and financial markets.
• Generate ideas on trading opportunities, product insights, risk management and trading systems.
