Junior Quant Engineer - AXA Investment Managers

AXA Investment Managers is offering a VIE* opportunity as a Junior Equity Quantitative Engineer in its Quantitative Engineering team based in London for a duration of 24 months.

Quantitative Engineering is part of the overall AXA IM CORE Investments group and is responsible for providing and managing a transversal Python Research Environment, centralizing Data Access libraries, Data Visualization framework, and research code design; collaborating with CORE Portfolio Managers and Researchers on Quant Research Initiatives Implementation as well as Equity Investment analytics systematics implementation to increase Research and Portfolio Construction sharing amongst Equity Investment teams.

*VIE contract is a French International Internship Program, for which only EEA (European Economic Area) citizens are eligible.

Role Overview:

As a Junior Quantitative Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and contributing to the ongoing development of the AXA IM Equity Quant Solution, contributing to the Equity Python research environment, enabling connectivity of the research environment to the wider AXA IM Data Platform, and facilitating research and portfolio analytics testing for the purposes of Equity portfolio management, research, and Investment analytics teams. You will contribute to projects that span financial & portfolio analysis, natural language processing, and Machine Learning/AI model development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to the integration of third-party AI tools into our systems.
2. Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and models, focusing on NLP and other AI technologies.
3. Stay up to date with the latest developments in machine learning, AI, and financial technologies to suggest and implement improvements.
4. Participate in the review and optimization of our existing machine learning models and processes.

Votre Profil:

Share your unique expertise:

1. Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in machine learning and data science, ideally within a professional or academic setting.
3. Strong programming skills in Python, including familiarity with ML libraries and NLP frameworks.
4. Experience with OpenAI APIs or similar AI platforms is highly preferred.
5. Experience in LLM deployment is a plus.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen interest in applying machine learning to solve diverse challenges.
7. Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex ideas clearly.
8. Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a plus but not mandatory.
