Job summary

CTS Group, a fast-growing data centre design and build specialist, seeks a Junior Project Manager in London to support delivery of hyperscale projects across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You will work with Project Directors, Managers and Engineering teams to coordinate technical packages and drive on-time project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience in construction, engineering, commissioning, project coordination or technical project delivery.
• Recent graduates with placement or internship experience will be considered.
• Experience in data centres, industrial, infrastructure, pharmaceutical, or mission-critical projects is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of project activities.
• Assist in tracking project milestones, schedules, and key deliverables.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities between engineering teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Attend site meetings and provide progress updates to project leadership.
• Support delivery of specialist packages including electrical, mechanical, ICT, security, and other critical systems.
• Assist in coordinating interfaces between CSA, MEP, commissioning, and specialist vendors.
• Review technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Help identify and resolve design, installation, and coordination issues.
• Monitor site progress and support field teams in achieving programme objectives.
• Participate in inspections, walkdowns, and quality reviews.
• Assist with construction sequencing and coordination activities.
• Track technical queries, open items, and project actions through to completion.
• Assist commissioning teams during testing and system turnover activities.
• Support FATs, SATs, system start-ups, and IST.
• Help maintain commissioning documentation and readiness trackers.
• Support successful project handovers to the client.
• Promote CTS's commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Ensure activities comply with project specifications, procedures, and standards.
• Support QA/QC inspections and documentation reviews.
• Participate in EHS and quality meetings.

Role Overview

This role is ideal for an ambitious engineer or construction professional looking to take the next step into project management. Working closely with Project Directors, Project Managers, Package Managers, and Engineering teams, you will gain hands-on experience managing technical packages, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and supporting the successful delivery of complex mission-critical infrastructure. The successful candidate will combine strong technical understanding with excellent organisational and communication skills, helping to coordinate specialist systems and ensure seamless integration across all project disciplines.

What You'll Be Doing

Project Coordination

• Support Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of project activities.
• Assist in tracking project milestones, schedules, and key deliverables.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities between engineering teams, subcontractors, and vendors.

Technical Package Management

• Support the delivery of specialist packages including electrical, mechanical, ICT, security, BMS, EPMS, fire protection, and other critical systems.
• Assist in coordinating interfaces between CSA, MEP, commissioning, and specialist vendors.
• Review technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Help identify and resolve design, installation, and coordination issues.

Site & Construction Support

• Monitor site progress and support field teams in achieving programme objectives.
• Participate in inspections, walkdowns, and quality reviews.
• Assist with construction sequencing and coordination activities.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

• Degree, Diploma, HND, or equivalent qualification in:

  • Or a related technical discipline

Experience

Technical Skills
