Company Description

About us

Hello, we’re Reach. Every day, our trusted news, stories and content connect with millions of people where they live - whether that’s on their social feed or at their neighbourhood newsstand; through their local community or their take on the hot topic of the day.

We're home to more than 120 brands - from household names like the Mirror, Express, Daily Star and Daily Record, to local titles like MyLondon, BelfastLive, and the Manchester Evening News, and brands making a splash in the US like the Irish Star.

It's our ability to understand people and the things that matter to them that makes us Britain and Ireland's largest commercial news publisher. We reach around 70% of the UK's online population, 10% of the US online population, and over 100 million social followers around the world, connecting with them on who they are, where they live and what they love.

Your story, with Reach

As a modern media organisation, we're much more than just news. And it takes a wide range of people and skills to serve diverse audiences, customers and communities like we do.

We know everyone has their own story to tell, so we’ve built an environment where every background is respected and every day is a day to explore.

We’ll help you build a career that works with your life, while giving you the space to create and grow.

Job Description

Are you early in your Project Management career and looking for a role with a runway for growth? Do you thrive in fast-paced, complex environments where no two days are the same?

We are looking for an ambitious, highly organised, and proactive Associate/Junior Project Manager to join our Product & Technology PMO team.

Working alongside experienced PMs, you’ll balance core PMO governance with hands‑on ownership of your own lightweight projects.

You won't just sit on the sidelines. You'll learn directly from senior practitioners. With plenty of room to take on bigger initiatives, expand your technical scope, and grow your PM skills.

What the role involves

  • Lead Lightweight Projects: Manage small initiatives end‑to‑end keeping scope, timelines, and quality aligned using agile, right‑sized PM practices.
  • Drive Governance & Accountability: Maintain decision, action, risk, and issue logs. You’ll proactively follow up with team members across the business to ensure commitments stay on schedule.
  • Craft Clear Stakeholder Reporting: Help paint the picture of portfolio health by gathering updates and maintaining clear dashboards for business leads and senior executives.
  • Run Effective Meetings: Facilitate regular project huddles, document key decisions, and ensure our PMO tools remain the single source of truth.
  • Support PMO Operations: Help refine team administration, manage intake requests, and keep our digital workspaces pristine.
Qualifications
  • 1+ Year of Experience: Hands‑on exposure within a project management, PMO, or operations role (preferably within a technology‑led environment or software function).
  • Remote Pro: Comfortable managing your time independently, prioritising tasks in a busy environment, and collaborating virtually across multiple channels.
  • Confident Communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to deal with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Detail & Organisation: Exceptional organisational habits, high standards for data accuracy, and a proactive mindset; you flag risks before they become roadblocks.
  • Tech & Tool Savvy: Practical experience with project management software familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and a foundational understanding of the Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • PM Certifications (Bonus!): CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation, or equivalent formal project management training is a plus!
