At Severn Trent, we're embarking on an exciting £415m project to replace 870 miles of old water pipes across the Midlands. This is the biggest investment in water infrastructure in the region in a decade, set to improve water quality, reduce leaks, and make water supply more reliable for millions of people. The new pipes installed will last up to 100 years.

Due to a new programme delivering a full mains renewal across the UK over the next few years, we are now on a significant recruitment drive to scale our teams and deliver this vital work.

We are looking for a Assistant Programme Manager who will work closely with Project Coordinators to ensure the mains renewal activity runs smoothly, providing coaching when needed. This role is crucial for maintaining compliance, such as cost tracking and legal paperwork. You will be part of a team of 8, including 4 Assistant Programme Managers and 4 Project Coordinators, reporting to the Programme Manager for one of four regions: North, South, East, or West.
Key responsibilities will include:
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple large-scale, complex projects. Strong relationship management skills are essential. Experience in the utilities or water industry is advantageous. A full UK driving license is required, as travel across regions will be necessary.
