Junior Project Manager


Salary: Up to £55,000pa + car allowance


Location: Manchester/North UK


Working Format: Hybrid working, remote/site visits as and when to Manchester/North UK

Airport environment experience is highly desirable for this role


About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our Airports Project Execution team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone at the start of their project management career who is eager to grow and take on responsibility in delivering complex automation system projects within fast-moving airport and parcel environments.


Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery from order through to completion gaining exposure across planning, procurement, financials, documentation, stakeholder management, and risk control.


Key Responsibilities


  • Support the delivery of projects to cost, time, and quality requirements.

  • Identify and analyse project risks, propose solutions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

  • Motivate and coordinate project teams to achieve deliverables safely and on time.

  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers.

  • Support environmental, health & safety standards across projects.

  • Contribute to understanding customer business processes to deliver solutions that improve their competitiveness.

  • Act as a trusted partner for clients, ensuring expectations are met or exceeded.


Qualifications & Skills


  • A formal project management qualification (e.g. APM PFQ).

  • Contract management training (e.g. NEC3 or NEC4).

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
