GBS is seeking a highly organised and motivated Junior Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and be committed to working on-site daily. Applicants should bring either a solid experience in IT project management or a background in the Higher Education sector. The Junior Project Manager is responsible for organising and coordinating projects and events to ensure the projects are completed on time, within budget and ensuring the required quality standards. The Junior Project Manager will also be responsible for supporting the PMO Manager when required.

Main Responsibilities
  • To assist and manage a range of projects across the organisation.
  • To monitor and report on project progression and collaborate with the various Teams.
  • To build and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders and to coordinate project teams.
  • To ensure that work is of the highest standard with outstanding attention to detail.
  • To manage and deliver events both internal and external to GBS.
  • To research and organise information and produce accessible briefing documents.
Requirements
  • Degree in Project Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to manage projects and events.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • High level of computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (e.g. MS Projects, JIRA).
  • A strong understanding of project management methodologies (such as Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and formal certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMI) is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with outstanding attention to detail.
