Legal and General are recruiting in our group functions division for a Junior Project Manager. You will play a crucial role in managing projects that meet identified business needs, utilizing your skills and resources within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality. What you'll be doing:

  • Taking end-to-end responsibility for the delivery of one low-complexity project, establishing and maintaining the correct structures to control and monitor deliverables
  • Leading project planning, scheduling, controlling, and reporting activities, ensuring comprehensive project, quality, and risk plans are prepared and maintained
  • Delivering effective communication to all impacted parties, including stakeholders and senior managers, to support effective decision-making
  • Managing third-party relationships, ensuring dependencies are identified and managed, and deliverables are achieved without incurring unnecessary cost or delay
  • Determining, monitoring, and reviewing all project economics, including costs, staffing requirements, project resources, and project risk
  • Ensuring project control procedures are in place and actively used to assess the effect of risks, issues, assumptions, and changes on costs, timescale, and resource needs
  • Demonstrating compliance with agreed methodology, standards, policies, and procedures to ensure strong governance
  • Ensuring the delivery of services that are robust, effective, and thorough, aligning with L&G’s commitment to Treating Customers Fairly

Who we're looking for:

  • PRINCE2 Foundation and/or APM IC preferred
  • Understanding of the principles, methods, techniques, and tools for effective project management
  • Demonstrable project/change delivery experience
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
