Are you early in your project management journey and looking to grow in a role that truly makes an impact? Elevate Great is looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our dynamic team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a sharp eye for detail, a curiosity-driven mindset, and a passion for innovation and social change.

About the Role

You’ll support the delivery of innovation ventures and business advisory projects contributing to every stage of the project lifecycle from research and design to testing, delivery, and evaluation. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally, working with internal teams and external partners and turn evidence into action, helping us to learn, iterate and improve our impact.

Who we are

Elevate Great is an not-for-profit Equity Catalyst that strives for a society where everyone can flourish. We want to get to the root of the problem, so we follow the evidence and invest upstream. By getting early childhood right, we believe we can unlock human potential right now and for the future.

We partner with individuals, organisations, and communities that are driving innovative, evidence-based solutions rooted in early childhood - the foundation for a life full of potential. Elevate Great is not just our name; it’s what we do: We use methodological innovations in data science and combine them with entrepreneurial know-how to scale great research, solutions, and ideas that can change our future, one child at a time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead or support delivery of projects or workstreams, including planning, timeline management, stakeholder coordination, and risk monitoring.
  • Assist in facilitation activities, such as workshops, team sessions, and user testing.
  • Support evidence-based delivery by helping design feedback loops, working with the Evidence team to analyse data, and using insights to improve project outcomes.
  • Conduct competitor and horizon scans, contribute to prototype development and MVP testing, and assist in preparing materials for business advisory engagements, including research, presentations, and partner interaction notes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in project reviews and learning sessions, and provide insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Model organisational values and standards, foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, and promote strong communication and collaboration within and across teams.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

  • First degree in business administration, economics, management, or a related field.
  • Postgraduate or professional qualification in a business-related subject (desirable).

Experience & Skills:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in project co-ordination or delivery.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of project management tools and methods (e.g. Agile, Kanban).
  • Clear focus on evidence-led decision making.
  • Strong presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Previous experience working in or with social enterprises, startups, or innovation labs (desirable).
  • Desire to make a difference for children and society.
