Job summary

Scymaris in Brixham, Devon, is hiring a Junior Project Manager with 1–2 years in project management or coordination to support the delivery of client projects within a CRO. You will coordinate timelines, resources and communications between clients and our technical teams.

Qualifications

• Around 1–2 years' experience in Project Coordination or PM-related role.
• Experience in a scientific environment (CRO, life sciences or lab) is preferred.
• Self-motivated, proactive team player with strong organisational skills.
• Science-related degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong communication skills and confidence with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple client projects from initiation through to completion.
• Act as day-to-day contact for clients with regular updates and clear communication.
• Support project planning, scheduling and resource coordination to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain project plans and update project management systems accurately.
• Monitor progress and escalate risks or issues as appropriate.
• Collaborate with Study Directors, laboratory teams and stakeholders to hit milestones.
• Assist with project reporting, documentation and client deliverables.
• Support revenue forecasting and project tracking with accurate information.
• Undertake other duties as required.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a motivated Junior Project Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1–2 years' project management or project coordination experience who is looking to develop their career.

About the role:

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organising projects, building relationships and keeping things on track. They will be equally happy right in the detail of a problem but know when it’s time to step back and look at the big picture. You'll support the successful delivery of client projects by coordinating timelines, resources and communication between clients and our technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:
