Job summary

Pin Point Recruitment is partnering with an engineering team in North East England to recruit a Project Engineer. The role involves taking ownership from contract award through installation, commissioning and final acceptance, working with design, production and customers.

The ideal candidate will have HNC/HND or degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline, plus experience in project or design engineering, a strong eye for drawings and documentation, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in project engineering or a similar technical role.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within a project environment.
• Willingness to undertake occasional UK travel.

Responsibilities

• Integrate engineering design solutions into live projects.
• Identify, assess and manage technical risks throughout project execution.
• Prepare specifications for outsourced components, assemblies and services.
• Produce and manage installation, commissioning and technical documentation.
• Respond to customer technical queries and provide engineering support.
• Lead the completion of risk assessments and functional design specifications.
• Compile and close Technical Construction Files.
• Act as the technical lead during installation, commissioning and system trials.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
