Job Description

Our client is a global business focusing on innovative energy solutions to support sustainability and decarbonisation. They were established in 2009 and offer services to help businesses optimize energy usage and contribute to a greener, more resilient electricity grid.

This is a Junior Programme Analyst position on the Energy Markets team. It’s a 9–12-month contract, based in Dublin or London, and involves a hybrid work model (some days in the office, some from home).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee settlement processes to ensure accurate payments from Transmission System Operators (TSOs) and generate payment files for clients.
  2. Support updates and improvements to settlement procedures.
  3. Understand and apply grid rules for selected energy flexibility programmes in the UK and Ireland.
  4. Execute customer enrolment processes and implement auction strategies for flexibility markets.
  5. Analyse customer energy data to support accurate nominations and optimise the energy portfolio.
  6. Coordinate with TSOs to schedule audits, testing, and other site activities.
  7. Support the full testing process of customer sites from start to finish.
  8. Conduct ad hoc data analysis to assist Programme Managers in decision-making.
  9. Identify opportunities to improve and streamline portfolio and operational processes.
  10. Assist with market auctions and tenders through detailed market research and analysis.
  11. Contribute to the development of scalable, efficient processes and promote continuous improvement.
  12. Foster strong collaboration across teams to ensure successful programme execution.

Qualifications:

  1. Understanding and interest in energy and flexibility markets.
  2. Strong Excel skills.
  3. VBA coding skills essential.
  4. Be excited and motivated to transform the energy sector through innovative business solutions.
  5. Have interest in learning about flexibility and energy market programmes.
