Junior Product Developer - Off-Price

Full-Time

Location: Leeds - LS15

Purpose of the role:

As a Junior Product Developer, you will play a vital role within our Product team. You will source and manage a commercial range of products, working with sales to achieve budgets and margins within the wholesale and retail price architecture. You will manage ranges and customer orders under the guidance of your manager.

Responsibilities:
Strategy:
  • Plan, design (where applicable), and source a commercial range of products within a structured supplier base for our wholesale markets.
  • Present ranges and projects to senior management and sales team ahead of customer meetings.
  • Manage the product development process and bulk orders to an agreed critical path.
  • Work closely with QA and design to ensure the best garment fit and product quality.
  • Create seasonal product boards and CAD booklets for launches and projects.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and maintain good relationships.
  • Understand customer needs to maximize profits and provide viable ranges.
  • Develop products and stock proposals to secure new orders.
  • Increase sales and profit by remaining competitive and innovative.
  • Source and develop new suppliers aligned with strategy.
  • Liaise with suppliers and chair meetings.
Trade and Planning:
  • Manage critical path to ensure timely delivery.
  • Work with merchandisers to fulfill customer orders.
  • Analyze performance, predict trends, and monitor competitors.
  • Oversee web photography for RRP and sales shoots.
  • Support sales initiatives and customer projects.
Knowledge & Skills required:
  • Knowledge of garments, fabrics, constructions, and factory capabilities.
  • Creative flair with a commercial eye.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Presentation skills—visual, verbal, and written.
