Job summary

Unknown Client, a leading financial services firm based in London, is seeking a bright Junior Product Controller to join its growing team. This role targets professionals with 1–2 years of product control experience who want to advance their career within a dynamic financial services environment.

You will assist with daily P&L production and analysis for derivatives desks, investigate movements with traders and finance teams, and support month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Product Control experience in financial services or investment banking.
• Exposure to derivatives products (futures, options, swaps).
• Experience supporting P&L production and analysis.
• Understanding of financial markets, trading activities, and valuation principles.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily P&L production and analysis for derivatives trading desks.
• Investigate and explain P&L movements, working closely with traders and finance teams.
• Support the month-end close process, including reconciliations and reporting.
• Review and validate trade bookings, valuations, and market data inputs.
• Contribute to process improvements, controls, and reporting enhancements within the product control function.
