Junior Product Controller - Associate equivalent - loan products
Location: City of London - candidate would want to be in the office 5 days a week

Reason for Hire:
Significant internal projects have arisen, including implementing new products, reporting processes, and hedge accounting.
Purpose:
Standard daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly deliverables, as well as a significant amount of ad hoc queries. The role involves extensive liaison with Operations, Treasury, Business Management, and Risk Management functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of tasks within daily, monthly, & quarterly P&L production and Balance Sheet review of all Treasury, Loan, and Deposit products.
- Assisting the Team Manager with the analysis of FX trading P&L, Hedge Accounting, Hedge Effectiveness testing, reporting, and independent price verification review.
- Supporting Balance Sheet Substantiation, ensuring reconciliations are signed off and submitted timely.
- Preparing audit packs and responding to auditors' inquiries.
- Producing daily P&L reports for review and publication, escalating issues promptly.
- Collaborating on financial data and reports for management and Head Office.
- Assisting with new product approvals and development of related financial data.
- Investigating issues with Finance, Technology, Risk, and Operations teams.
- Standardizing documentation and assisting in updates and reviews.
- Supporting system upgrades and new product implementations, including understanding product features and cash-flow/valuation analysis.
- Contributing to monthly ALCO meetings with financial analysis.
- Providing cover for other deliverables as needed within the department.
- Performing other duties as reasonably required.
The Successful Applicant
- Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CFA preferred)
- Knowledge of financial products: FX derivatives, interest rate swaps, bonds, money market deposits, and loans
- Attention to detail and accuracy in P&L control
- Awareness of industry trends such as Basel capital rules & IBOR transition
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with good VBA and SQL skills

- Base salary £60,000 to £65,000
