Job Description

This role involves standard daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly deliverables, along with handling various ad hoc queries. It requires extensive liaison with Operations, Treasury, Business Management, and Risk Management functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership of tasks related to daily, monthly, and quarterly P&L production and Balance Sheet review of Treasury, Loan, and Deposit products.
• Assisting with daily and month-end analysis, including FX trading P&L, Hedge Accounting, Hedge Effectiveness testing, and reporting for management and head office.
• Supporting Balance Sheet Substantiation and ensuring key reconciliations are signed off and submitted timely.
• Preparing audit packs and responding to auditors' inquiries.
• Producing daily P&L reports for review and publication before mid-day on T+1, escalating issues as needed.
• Developing financial and analytical reports for management and head office, and assisting with new product approval processes.
• Investigating issues with Finance, Technology, Risk, and Operations teams.
• Standardizing documentation for product control manuals and procedures.
• Participating in system upgrades, testing, and new product implementations, understanding product features, cash flows, and valuation principles.
• Contributing to monthly ALCO meetings with financial analysis.
• Providing cover for other department deliverables as needed.

The Successful Applicant

• Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CFA preferred).
• Knowledge of financial products: FX derivatives, interest rate swaps, bonds, money market deposits, and loans.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in P&L control.
• Awareness of industry trends like Basel capital rules and IBOR transition.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with skills in VBA and SQL.
