Job description

The Role

We are looking for a Junior Producer to join us at Father. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to be a part of an exciting team - someone who is just as comfortable talking about sound and music as they are keeping a project running smoothly.

You will work closely with our Head of Production across every stage of a project, from first brief to final delivery. Over time, you will take ownership of your own projects, build direct relationships with clients and creatives, and help shape the Father workflow.

If you have a genuine love of music, some experience in production or account / project management roles, and a hunger to learn - we want to hear from you.

About Father

Father is an award-winning music and sound design studio founded by sound designers and composers. We work on the principle that sound amplifies emotion, engagement and recall, and we view sound as an integral part of design. Collaborating with a wide range of clients on sonic branding, original music, UI sound design and experiential sound, we translate ideas into sound experiences. We create rich and atmospheric sonic content, and pride ourselves on our strategic and sensitive approach.

All our work is produced in-house by our team of creative composers and sound designers, and it is our mission to create design-led, art-driven original work with intention, beauty and cultural sensitivity, for brands and organisations that want their sound to deliver impact beyond the superficial.

  • Follow project open and close checklists to keep administration tight
  • Format quotes and usage agreements
  • Send monthly project summary emails to the wider Father team
Social Media & Communications
  • Support with Father's social media presence - planning, creating and scheduling posts that reflect the studio's voice and work
  • Manage and send the Father newsletter, prompting content from the team and keeping a consistent rhythm
  • Update the Father website with new case studies
Studio & Operations
  • Lead on communication with our studio building managers at Vanguard Court and Peckham Corners

  • Early in your career, ideally with some experience in a production, administrative or project management role, eager to learn and grow within a creative studio environment
  • Bonus if you have some skills in music, whether that’s through being a musician, understanding basic music production or otherwise
