DEKRA Organisational & Process Safety is seeking a Junior Process Safety Consultant in a hybrid Southampton-based role. You will support expert teams delivering critical safety studies and help prepare client-ready insights, reports, and workshop materials.

The position aims to develop process safety expertise, involving data analysis, risk modelling, and collaborative client engagement to ensure safe and compliant project delivery.

Qualifications

• A degree in Process Safety, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline, or up to 3 years' relevant experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Good attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical reports.
• A proactive, organised approach to managing tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a client-focused team.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of key Process Safety studies, including HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, and risk assessments
• Assist in preparing technical reports, safety documentation, and client-ready insights
• Carry out basic risk modelling and analysis for quantitative safety studies (e.g. QRA, FTA)
• Help plan and coordinate workshops, ensuring smooth project delivery and client engagement
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver high-quality, on-time safety solutions
