Job summary

GEM Partnerships seeks a Junior Process Engineer to support European product and process optimization programs at a major North East England facility. You will perform technical evaluations in UK plants for EU projects, support local and EU plant processes, review prototype materials, and assist with EU specification products.

The role requires a chemistry or chemical engineering degree and at least one year in industry, with strong IT skills (PowerPoint/Excel/Word) and the ability to prepare

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• At least one year of experience in an industrial setting.
• Proficient IT skills with PowerPoint/Excel/Word and ability to produce technical reports.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and NPD/R&D interfacing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Technical evaluations within UK plants for EU/Group projects.
• Provide process engineering support across local and EU plants.
• Evaluate prototype products and materials.
• Support EU specification product requirements.
• Coordinate product testing for EU specification opportunities.
• Benchmark competitor products and materials.
