Junior Print Room Operative
Location: Deansgate, Manchester M3 4BQ.
Salary: £23,809.00 per annum
Contract: Full Time / Temporary (Maternity Cover - 12 Months).

The Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Print Room Operative to join our team. This is an entry-level position, offering an excellent opportunity to develop a career in the printing industry. As a Junior Print Room Operative, you will assist in the day-to-day operation of the print room, ensuring the efficient production of print materials while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operating digital print and finishing equipment such as print presses, large format colour plotter, binding machines, laminating machines.
2. Scanning of hard copy data to digital format.
3. Liaising with customers verbally and via email.
4. Packaging and preparing goods for dispatch.
5. Finishing such as gluing, taping, creasing, guillotining.
6. Perform operator maintenance on print and finishing equipment.
7. Help maintain a high level of safety, cleanliness and organisation around the workplace.
8. Comply with company H&S, Environmental & Quality procedures.
9. Ad-hoc duties as directed by the Business Manager.

Candidate Requirements

1. A keen eye for detail and a high level of accuracy.
2. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
3. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
4. Basic knowledge of print processes and machinery is desirable but not essential.
5. Ability to handle physical work, including lifting materials and standing for extended periods.
6. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
7. Prior experience in a print or production environment is a plus but not essential.
8. GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
9. Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but full training will be provided.
