Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking an apprenticeship-trained Mechanical Engineer for a global geotechnical company based in Burscough. The role offers a strong training package and clear progression.

You will split your time 50/50 between workshop and site, working on heavy plant equipment and handling fault finding, inspection and preventative maintenance. Overtime is optional and expenses are paid for travel.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship-trained Mechanical Engineer or equivalent.
• Valid UK driving license.

Responsabilités

This company, established in the 1960's has cemented themselves within the construction/plant industry and boasts a multimillion-pound turnover. With numerous offices, they have a global impact within the Plant and Construction industries. They have recently taken on some large projects, and as a result are looking for a Plant Engineer to join their team in Burscough.
In this varied role you will be split between the workshop and the field, working on a variety of heavy construction plant equipment such as Soilmec, CAT, Casagrande, Bauer and Liebherr. You will be involved in fault finding on Mechanical and Electrical equipment, as well as rigging, carrying out inspections and preventative maintenance.

The Role:

• Working on heavy machinery and plant equipment
• Fault finding and maintenance
• Split 50 - 50 between site and workshop
• Occasional stay aways (Expenses paid)
• Monday to Thursday (7:30am - 5pm) - Friday (7:30am - 1pm)

The Person:

• Mechanical Engineer apprenticeship trained or equivalent
• Commutable to Burscough
• UK driver's license
