Responsibilities

As our People Business Partner you will provide a comprehensive and best practice people service to the business. You will acquire, maintain and develop employees to ensure that the company has the required skills and competencies to achieve its objectives.

  • To build a business partnership within area of responsibility ensuring that the people team are fully integrated into the management team of their stakeholders.
  • Be the first point of contact and provide guidance and support to any employee relations issues within own business area ensuring compliance to relevant employment law.
  • In conjunction with the Talent Acquisition Business Partner identify recruitment and selection needs within business area and provide support during the process to the hiring manager being a key stakeholder in the interview panel.
  • Provide mentorship to the People and Systems Coordinator and delegate tasks as and when required with the aim to help with their on-going personal development.
  • Work with the Talent and Development Business Partner to support activities within own business area from Talent reviews, appraisal processes, training requirements and deployment.
  • Support any required internal managers training required to upskill them in people policies.
  • Management of absence within own area and work with the Occupational Health Advisor in absence case management.
  • Support the yearly employee engagement survey within own area and work with management to ensure an action plan is developed and deployed.
  • Work on wellbeing activity across the business with the aim to increase engagement year on year.
  • Undertake project work and research as required, ensuring effective HR interventions and creative initiatives for people related activities in support of the overall organisational vision.
What you’ll need to succeed

This is a full time, hybrid role. You will cover locations in St Helens and Queensferry, so flexibility to travel to those locations is a must.

  • CIPD qualified or relevant experience
