Job description

Junior Paraplanner (2) - Dorking

Our client is looking for a Trainee Paraplanner to join their team. This role would suit an individual who is halfway to being Diploma qualified and wants to work towards becoming a fully qualified Paraplanner.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide research and analysis of investment funds and financial products, considering client objectives.
  2. Conduct fund research using FE Analytics where appropriate.
  3. Review asset allocation for investment/pension holdings.
  4. Complete financial cashflow forecasts, demonstrating the client’s current and future financial position.
  5. Prepare Financial Plans, outlining the current position, future goals, and steps to achieve them.
  6. Prepare fund switch and encashment letters based on advice provided.
  7. Obtain applications, key features documents, factsheets, illustrations, and product comparison quotes, ensuring clear research of advice.
  8. Liaise with Product Providers / Third Parties regarding technical queries.
  9. Work effectively within a team.
  10. Accurately complete new business sheets for handover to the PA.
  11. Successfully complete all relevant exams as per training plan.
  12. Regularly update industry and product knowledge through webinars, seminars, and training sessions.
  13. Previous experience in a similar financial services role.
  14. Practical application of technical financial knowledge.
  15. Experience in data research and report writing within financial services.
  16. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  17. Customer-focused approach, aiming for the best outcomes for clients and the business.
  18. Flexible and proactive attitude.
  19. Working towards full Diploma qualification.
  20. Good understanding of the Financial Planning process.
  21. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
