Job summary

Eclipse Power is seeking a Junior Paralegal to join our London office on a fixed-term maternity cover. You will work closely with the General Counsel and Corporate Development Director on commercial agreements and day-to-day legal matters.

The role offers broad exposure to energy sector regulatory questions, project contracts and cross-functional collaboration with commercial, technical and finance teams. Office-based Tue/Wed/Thu.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements across the business within EPC, asset adoption, frameworks, writing NDAs, consultancy agreements and more.
• Not just spotting risk but helping the team(s) navigate legal ambiguaty.
• Partnering with commercial, technical and finance colleagues, to structure and deliver projects.
• Translating legal complexity into clear, practical advice.
• Supporting new platforms, partnerships and growth initiatives.
• Getting involved in transactions, JVs and strategic deals where needed.
• Supporting on regulatory and compliance issues, particularly in UK energy.
• Keeping things moving without over‑engineering.
• Being the go‑to for general legal queries across the business.
• From quick contract questions to governance and approvals.
• Building smarter ways of working, templates, playbooks, processes.
• Making legal an enabler, not a bottleneck.

Job Purpose

This is a broad, hands‑on in‑house role where you’ll sit right alongside the business not off to the side.

You’ll work across commercial contracts, projects, regulatory questions and day‑to‑day legal issues, helping teams move quickly and make well informed decision.
