Job summary

Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust in Birmingham is seeking a Junior Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Emergency Medicine for the Emergency Department.

This fixed-term, 6-month post is suitable for trainees in Paediatrics or Emergency Medicine, with full GMC registration and UK experience. The role offers supervision by consultants and opportunities to manage a wide range of paediatric emergencies.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration.
• MB BS or equivalent.
• MRCPCH Part 1 or MCEM Part A or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage all emergencies in the department, excluding referrals to RMO/on-call teams.
• Maintain liaison with medical and surgical specialists to ensure coordinated care.
• Provide supervision and collaborate with consultants in Paediatric Emergency Medicine and other hospital subspecialties.
