Job Description:

Alexander Steele are working with an established Multi-Site ambient food manufacturer in West Yorkshire which are looking to recruit a Junior Packaging Technologist. The ideal candidate has aspirations for a career in Technical/Quality and has experience working with Packaging.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain packaging documentation, including specification updates, artwork approvals, sample logs, and supplier certificates, ensuring all records are accurate, up to date, and audit-ready.
• Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of new packaging materials to ensure product quality, safety, and shelf life.
• Support packaging trials on production lines, recording data and identifying any issues related to performance or compliance.
• Liaise with suppliers to source samples, request technical data, and support cost-saving or sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including NPD, technical, and operations to ensure packaging solutions meet operational and commercial needs.

• Annual Salary of Circa £35,000 DOE
• 33 days AL
• Monday to Friday - office hours - Friday work from home.
